BOUND is a feminist exploration of restricted bodies, created by movement-artists Bella Finlayson and Stella Fass. This short film delves into the psychological and emotional impact of the ‘chilling effect’ on young female and gender-non-conforming protesters.

Through movement, it looks at the emotional repercussions of the body being controlled and manipulated, as well as the suffocating weight of surveillance, censorship and violent authorities. Set to a soundscape of interviews from protesters across the UK, this film explores a physical manifestation of restraint, fear and frustration, creating a powerful visual statement on the complexity of protest and the silent ways in which the state stifles dissent.
