ART is supporting artist residencies as a ‘live’ method of investigation. Informed by emerging findings from interviews and commissions, through the residencies we provide the space, time and materials for selected artists to develop their practice in response to key issues around the development of new languages for human rights. As a research method, the residencies enhance learning across work packages, partners, collaborators, and artists/activists, and represent a further vehicle for co-creation; they are also an opportunity to nurture the relationships we have begun to develop within ART and prior projects.
