The act of TEXtimoniar: Warps and Weaves to Transform Life

Costurero Kilómetros de Vida y de Memoria, a Colombian collective employing weaving and embroidery, facilitated intergenerational dialogues on memory. They developed a pedagogical strategy using textiles, photography, and sound to critically engage with the Colombian Truth Commission's report.

Through textile repertoires, timelines, and memory cartographies interwoven with the Truth Commission's stories, the project explored 'different truths,' culminating in a giant turtle shell textile that symbolized the enduring nature of transitional processes.
