Viento
Through the testimonies shared by Andean women regarding the wind, this project created a narrative that emphasized the wind as a metaphor, examining its flows, transformations, and pressures. The investigation focused on the impact of the wind's passage on the lives of individuals who, akin to the wind, swiftly navigate the challenges posed by environmental crises and social pressures. The wind was conceptualized as a toolbox of lessons derived from responses to the climate crisis we currently face. Rather than proposing definitive solutions, the objective was to provoke a reevaluation of human migration by posing open-ended questions that do not necessarily require answers. The wind served as a central theme representing movement, a companion of migration, and an interlude of nostalgia, wherein the grief associated with migration intersects with the joy of movement, facilitating a collective solace found through the act of remembering through the wind.
