Inspired by East Leeds Project, we invited collaborations between artists and activists (broadly understood) to make their own KIOSK in their own location. KIOSKs are mobile structures, understood as architectural or immaterial, including online platforms, soundscapes or other sensorial interventions. Once in place, KIOSKs were opened to the public, who were invited to join in with arts-based activities that generated conversations relevant to the KIOSK’s local context. Conversations took place on one or more of the following themes: Futures of Care, The Politics of Hope, Shrinking / Expanding Space, Connecting Human and Non-Human Rights. Now that Conversations in KIOSKS has come to a close, we will bring artists and activists together to share their process and work.
